Inclusive Growth and Development”.
Thirty eight delegates from various Commonwealth
Countries were in Malaysia from 18/3/2007 to 25/3/2007 to attend
the study tours hosted by the Commonwealth Study Conference Association
of Malaysia (COSCAM). COSCAM is honoured to co-host the Tenth
Commonwealth Study Conference 2007 (under the patronage of Duke
of Edinburgh) together with India as main host. The host organizers
in India is the Confederation of Indian Industries. The Conference
was held from 16th March 2007 to 29th March 2007.
The three study tours in Malaysia were in Sabah,
Melaka and Federal Territorries of Kuala Lumpur,Putrajaya/Selangor/Negeri
Sembilan. The scheduling of CSC 2007 in India and Malaysia in
March this year is a significant break from tradition as all nine
previous conferences have been held in UK, Canada and Australia
by rotation.
The delegates on arrival at KLIA were brisked
to The VIP Lounge for immigration clearance, refreshments and
briefing. On hand to greet them were COSCAM President Dato’Hamidi,
Alumni members Tan Sri Dato’Dr Aris Othman, Datin Norma
Senu,General Secretary G. Rasamalar, Johan Samad, Amir Hamidi,
Shahril Hamidi, and David Foo.The journey for the delegates on
their respective study tours started then as they left for their
destinations.
